What is my turn-around time?
Currently my turn around time is 1-2 weeks.

How do I prep my top?
Please press your top and backing for me so that it's nice and tidy and ready for me to load. Please also clip stray threads or raveling fabrics as best as you can. You might not be able to get them all, but to prevent dark threads from shadowing through your quilt top, please don't skip this important step!

How do I prep my backing?
If you are using a wideback, just simply press, square up the cut edges and you are good to go!
If you are piecing your backing, horizontal seams are best (but not required), press seams open, and make sure you square up the raw edges.
*Please leave your selvedge edges and only cut off the raw edges when squaring up your backing*
A square backing is essential for proper loading.

How to I determine how much backing I need?

Here's an easy way to remember: Four-for-four! :) I require the backing to be 4" extra ON ALL SIDES. For example, if you have a quilt top that is 60" x 80", your backing should measure at least 68" x 88". It can be bigger, not smaller. Extra fees may apply if I need to put extra time and effort into getting your quilt ready to load. If you have questions, please ask.
I'm passionate about being able to give you results you will love. Teamwork! :)

Can you quilt anything other than a quilt top?
Yes! I can quilt smaller items, such and can usually fit multiple items on the frame as long as the backing fabric is the same. I can also quilt fabric for making bags, quilt coats, etc. If this is something you are interested in, please send me a message. We can talk about specifics, such as batting vs soft and stable, etc.
Some of my very favorite bags have been quilted on the longarm before cutting and it saves a TON of time!

Do you have a minimum charge?
Yes, for smaller items, my minimum charge is $50.
